Which medium would you say shows the greatest talent of a graphic artist?
SneakerBeatz Resident Artist Phil Galeazzi shares his insights as a manual graphic artist in the realm of digital graphic arts. With a large following on social media (Reddit, Instagram and various other platforms) Phil has shown how an artisan with the pen can compete with (and in some cases out shines) those digital artist who use the Adobe software bundle and Wiacom hardware
Traditional Products such as Copic Sketch Markers, Micron Multiliner Pens, Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens. He also uses mechanical pencils, Bic pens or anything else he can get his hands on at the time to do his thing and work his magic.
SneakeBeatz.com is a haven for the arts and enjoys seeing artist develop their crafts and skills. Watching Phil evolve into a rising star in the online community of graphic artist is a plateau for our platform. We look forward to seeing other artist join our family of artisans who love to create.
According to Phil : "There is much to be said about Traditional Drawing versus Digital, but at the end of the day, isn't it simply a matter of preference? It's no secret that there are things a digital artist can do with certain tools and features that a traditional artist cannot, such as the most simple of things like cut, paste, tilt, move, shrink or enlarge part of an image, but does it not take a true artist and hand skills to wield the digital tools? Doesn't it also call for the mind and vision of one? In my opinion, and this is coming from a traditional artist, there really is no "cheating" in art, only multiple means to get to one’s end result and different mediums to express one's vision. The tools to bring one's vision to fruition can be as limitless as one's creativity. Trust me when I say that I know plenty of digital artists who can only do what they do digitally, even with phenomenal effects, because they are equally as gifted on paper. "
